Sausage Digits | Arthritis Information

Has anyone out there been DX without having the sausage digits and swelling?  I have psoriasis, pain in most joints, including my back, and terrible foot and hand pain.  Stiffness and pain, just not swelling.  My Rheumy had said she was pretty sure i had PsA but will not give me a definitive diagnosis.  I am on meds, methotrexate, Humira, folic acid, and hydrocodone as needed. I've also had pleurisy and pericarditis in the past.  That's what started this whole ordeal in the first place really.  And there was one time a few years ago that my right foot did swell and i couldn't get my shoe on.  That is the only time i've had swelling. Any input would be great.  Thanks!I never had the sausage digits. My diagnosis was based on the location of the pain and inflammation and the ridged toenails. I didn't have skin psoriasis either. I DO have the HLA-B27 antigen.

Oh, and my Sed rate has only been abnormal once in 17 years of this disease.

I have had lots of knee swelling and tendinitis in the wrist and shoulders over the years. But my feet have been pretty much untouched by the disease.  I've had some foot swelling [to the point where I had to wear larger or softer shoes] a couple times over the decades. But I attributed that to getting into a bag of potato chips.

i did not have the swelling either except in on knee one time. Im also going to talk to my ryhmy because since ive bee on MTX and folic my elbow and finger have now had more pain in them then ever. I did notice the size of my toes went down after starting the MTX and i never realy knew the where swollen. Good luck

Thanks!Any chance you can switch the hydrocodone with an NSAID?
