Still on vacation | Arthritis Information

Hi all, It feels sooooooooo good to be away from home and
log on here and know you are missed. I am loving being away
from my house. It looks like a storage shed, we moved all of
Brett's furniture and stuff in and then he had to leave in a hurry
on his job.      I can't move anything but I have to learn to
accept it because he won't be back for three months.

Sedona is absolutely gorgeous. I have not been able to hike
due to ra but my brother and niece go for hikes everyday and I
stay in a beautiful home with beautiful views. It is good to be
with family.

I had the scariest flare last night. My family went hiking and I
started to feel flu like. What seemed like suddenly, my feet and
hands swelled up. I could not get to my meds. I was in ra
agony and no way to get to pain killers    They came home
and I was crying. My hands were so swollen I could not move
them at all. My family had to feed me like a baby and cover me.
I felt so wierd. Anyhow, they were all so shocked at the
swelling. I guess it at least made them realize how real ra is in
my life

Today I smoked pot with my brother. I have not smoked pot in
15 years. It was silly fun. We were dancing around and
giggling. I don't think I would ever smoke it again beccause I
am spacey enough, but I swear, it seemed to help with the pain.
So there you have, I got stoned all, and it was fun.

My brother is all alternative medicine so he has me lined up for
a massage, we have been eating all wonderful anti
inflammatory foods that they planned for me. Isn't that
wonderful. Today I did aroma therapy, smelled good
and I pray I will be well enough for at least a small hike before I
leave. I have not been able to do much at all and I go back to
work April 14th

Love you guys and miss you. Really wish I could share this
with you, the nurturing and at least people trying to make you
well with love. I miss my zoo, my dogs and kitties but I am
blessed with a
wonderful family. I flew my favorite niece out too so it is quite a
special vacation. I wish I could share it with my daughter -
Kelsey.

Gentle Hugs and sloppy kisses - Roxroxy38809.7142939815Way to go, Roxy! We'll be here when you get back. Soak up the sun, & I hope the flare ends soon. Glad your family is helpful & considerate. That really does make it a vacation.

Sounds like a wonderful time Roxy....and what a nice family you have

Take care and enjoy!

Hope you get better soon Roxy. I miss you. Sedona sounds beautiful. Let me know if the alternative meds work.

Rox---I love it!!!! You little pot-head you!

One of these days we all are going to get together and have an RA therapy/spa weekend!!!

Roxy that sounds so awesome.  I have wondered if pot would help it.  I haven't had it in over ten years, but I know that it has great healing properties.
I KNOW exactly how healing Sedona is and I am so happy for you.  Just being there changes your life.  You will be so strong when you return to your home and life.  I am very happy for you.
Everybody deserves some WARM-FUZZY times

Roxy glad you are having a swell time. Sadona is beautiful.I wish I were there. Pat

Glad to hear you're with family. I've been absent a good bit lately myself and didn't realize you were on a trip. Wondered how you were.  Sounds like just what you needed.
