I made a tutorial for avatars. An avatar is the image on below your name to the left.

I thought it would be fun to help us show our personalities. I
know some of you are not savvy with the avatar settings, so I thought

Fiona, it has to be 64x64 otherwise it will get that smashed look you have there. But you got the idea. :) I found mine by google searching for free avatars. There are websites full of them. You just download it to your computer and then upload it to the profile section here.
I have a load more if anyone wants one, let me know and I will put some up.
Speaking of the "for dummies" series, have any of yall looked at that book Arthritis for Dummies? I have mentioned it before and was wondering if anyone else had looked at it. Really, that tutorial didn't take long at all. I do photoshop on
a regular basis, so I threw that together in about five minutes.
Posting the avatars only took a few. I am a partial computer
nerd.
I'm so excited. I've played around on this website trying to change the font, size, and color but nothing was working. Still can't get it to work but now I have a new Avatar. Yea!

MarisaHey Marisa, just highlight the text you want to change and then hit the
buttons above the text box accordingly. The A is color for fonts
and the B is bold and I is italics, etc. :) After you hit
it, it will continue to type in that color/style.
I have black ones and one white so either of those colors. I appreciate any you can find. I tried again yesterday to change the avatar to no luck. Dummie! Thanks ArizonaraThank you arizonara! It worked! I'm not such a computer dummy after all.

I couldn't find an animated pomeranian, but these two guys were so cute.
I was just putting these up for people that have trouble. By all
means, if you can go search and find one, you can do the same thing I
did. You can host the image on imageshack.us -- it is a
free image hosting site. So is tinypic.com -- another good free
one.
