Thankful | Arthritis Information

I just want to take a moment and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.  I'm thankful for many things.  My medications are keeping me fairly stable, I'm not nauseated today (that would be the worst!  I have a feast to eat!), I have a great rheumatologist, and I was able to close my business and concentrate on my health, thanks to my wonderful husband.

Though we hurt and have the bad luck to have developed this resolve-testing disease, it's a better era to be fighting it than any time in the past.  I remember my grandmother and my great-grandparents' twisted fingers that bent at many angles.  I have a good chance to avoid that and continue to make art.  We have knowledge and medications that were unheard of a generation ago, and for that I am also thankful.

I hope everyone on this site has a wonderful day and lots of good food and happy times with friends and family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Bluehour! Yes, we have our challenges, but we have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful for my wonderful husband, for the medication that allows me to function, and for my Rheumatologist and NP. In May I could barely walk. Today I am making Thanksgiving dinner, albeit a simplified verson. I am thankful I have a job and am able to still work. I have my days, but at this point, I can still do a "desk" job. I am thankful for the kindness of the people on this board, too. Best Wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to you all. VThanks for the Thanksgiving wishes.. Same to you Bluehour.. and other AI members .. A great Thanksgiving to you all too!!
