From Enbrel to Humira | Arthritis Information

Hi Everyone.  New to this board.  I switched a few months ago from Enbrel to Humira.  So mad that I did.  The Enbrel was working well for me arthritis wise, but was not helping the psoriasis.  The dermatologist recommended the switch and told me I should be fine pain wise and the Humira will be much better for my psoriasis.  Here we are a few months later and I am in such pain.  I was taking the Humira biweekly.  Docs had up'ed my dose to every week about, 3 weeks ago, and I still in pain.  AND by the way it really has not done anything for my psoarisis.  I'm using the Clobex spray for that.  I'm thinking about switching back to Enbrel, my doc thinks I should add methotrxate instead.  Anyone switch back from Humira to Enbrel?

My understanding is the MTX is almost always given concurrently to an anti-TNF. The MTX should help the skin component.
What city are you in?I went from Humira to Remicade and it was a night and day difference. I know thats not exactly what you were asking. If you have a chance to try Remicade you may want to consider it. For me it cleared up the psoriasis in about a 2 months and the joint pain was minimal. Sadly, 3 years later, it has not been as effective as it was early on. So now they have me on Cimzia, which is a joke. Hoprfuly theres more out there. Again, if you can, try Remicade. You may be pleasantly surprised.
