I have had this disease for going on 13 years now. It all started with a back injury which triggered the problem. I am not on any kind of medication at this time. I use Aleve once in awhile. My flair ups happen on and off. Especially after any physical work. Just making a shout out. I posted in another forum with a discovery I made in 2005 about autoimmunity. Here is the link.

Perhaps you might benefit from one of the anti-TNF drugs such as Enbrel or Humira.........they would prevent flares and thus damage.
