Man, those kind of feelings are the worst.  Sometimes a good cry or rage into your pillow can help you release some of it.  I have really been coping a lot better these days.

Try to do something nice for yourself and do something that brings you peace.  Maybe put on some good music that will help your mood.  Maybe rent a funny movie.  Sometimes the small things can go a long way.

I hate days when I feel such rage.  They really do suck.  It is easy to misguide your anger.  People don't understand if they don't have it.
Hey, I am sure we could all go to jail for assault and battery on our worst days, if we had the strength to hit anyone!  lol

I would tell my mom, you bet watch out or I will beat you with a wet noodle -- meaning my arms.

Hope you're feeling better soon

Do something nice for yourself, something that would make you feel happy or relaxed. I love ordering whatever my favorite food of the moment is and curling up in front of a feel good movie.

When nothing makes me feel better, I go to bed early and start over tomorrow. Remember that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it - well not yet anyway.

Or...you could always attempt to punch the next person that walks in the room and says something  stupid!

Hang in there.

I know the bad days are made worse when people try to make light of your illness. It is so insensitive. No one does that to people with other diseases. I guess because RA is confused with OA by so many people. I am sorry you have had the blues lately. I know where you are coming from. Just ride it out, I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I know exactly what you mean.  I think we all suffer from depression to some degree. Find some things that bring joy to your life.  Don't depend on anyone else to provide your enjoyment. Do it for yourself. For me it's chocolate cupcakes for dessert, A hot bath at night, a beautiful greenhouse window in my bathroom that is just about perfect, watching netflix movies while I eat dinner on a tv tray. This way you can wait out the good days.

Hi Smurfette;  I thought I was done with pity parties but I flared today.  Got all worried about having to go back on pred.  I agree with everyone.  Let it out and do something to nurture you.  If you have someone you trust - talk about.  We will be here for you.  RA is depressing and so unpredictable.  Wishing you a better day tomorrow.  Rox

Merry, I know what you mean...It is amazing how people will let you do all of the work and then at the gathering, while you running around serving people, they will ask you how your doing with your arthritis. There is always some tongue biting at that point!can I add...
