So how are you feelling today? | Arthritis Information

LOL It was easier for me to put up a new post than to look for an already excisting one.

For some reason the post all seem to be disapearing and I have to search for them. So alright I am lazy today.

I should be. I went shopping for last minute supplies yesterday. The store was full of people in panic mode. Hey I do not need that much encouragement to panic but it is always nice to be valadated. LOL Not really I would rather it was not a real event.

So I have a few aches and pains but they may be the old fashion kind from having over done yesterday.

Milly,

I almost don't want to say it but, I feel good. I have no pain when I get up and I have no pain when I go to bed. I just had my RA appoinment yesterday. One Rheumatologist said that I should be a spokeman for Genentech. No swelling anywhere. I take no drugs anymore. I'm so glad to be free of my love pill, prednisone. I am so very happy to be free of methotrexate. I still am trying to lose my weight and was surprised to find that I had gained another 9 pounds. The only problem that I am having now is to listen to all the stories of the pain of other members. I have gotten to where I just don't like to read them. They make me feel something that I can't quite describe. Past saddness. None the less, I dragged this out. Serves you right for asking a question. I sincerely hope that everyone will find the relief that I have. May this year be the year of cures.

LEV

So many things are changing and most are positive, except for an URI.  After 13 days with little relief I had to start antibiotics.  Will cancel my 3rd loading of Orencia on Friday.  To date I've had 2 infusions and have seen some results.  I have high hopes for clinical remission again.

My job is going well, several new programs added due to acquiring additional grant funding, including a government sponsored food distribution program for low income.   We distributed food to 1,000 people 2 weeks ago.  Big job and it's an all volunteer organization.

Irregardless of trolls, stalkers and cyber bullies this remains an informative site due to the active forum members.  I come and go because the site isn't moderated and spammers and trolls are allowed to run rampant.  Just when I thought it might be a good time to return I was proven wrong!!!  I've been lurking for information and have also guided several people to the site.    Thank you to Lynn and the other forum members for the information.  Lindy

Hi Milly, Snow, Lev and Lindy!
I feel like crap right now.  I've had a cold for a week and just when it seemed like it was going away, I get this really bad sore throat.  Second day of it now and no end in sight.

Milly..hope the aches and pains aren't too bad and don't stay too long.
Snow..feel better soon!
Lev...great to hear how well you're doing!
Lindy...hope the antibiotics work!
Doing ok here.
Finally that stomach bug that had everyone here flat seems to have gone.
Mark (DH) NEVER ever calls in sick. He has 256 accumulated sick days.. He went home last Monday, and stayed out Tuesday. The jk kids shared it , then I was sick as heck.

RA wise I'm the same,   havent started ARAVA, and I don't understand why I'm hesitant. Oh well.

The huge storm somehow missed us, we got 6 inches or so. I think it didn't hit us because I spent 0 on groceries, candles, batteries and a lantern.

We DID have snow the day before yesterday and my little 8 year old Ally shoveled the entire drive way from the street to the back porch steps.  About 120 feet!!! She did as fine a job as any grownup.

Snow, I love reading your posts, and Lynn as well I look forward to  your articles. I enjoy reading here and care about all of you.
I feel that I am doing just great.  I cut down my prednisone to 2 mg and now I am hungry 24/7.  I also receive remicade every two months and they are increasing the next infusion.  I have a great time when I go and I usually order a lobster roll for lunch, in fact the kitchen is open 24/7.  Love it! The nurses are wonderful and I know lots of people at the hospital because I was employed for a Doc for 15 years.  Oh, oh, this is leading to a book!  I really do feel great!
Glad to hear your good news Lev and Kelly I hope that you start feeling better. Milly, good to hear the your aches and pains are minimal.  LinB, URI's are the pits and I hope that yours is cured pronto and that you never get another one!  Snowy, been there done that with being tired and I hated it!  I hope that that feeling is short lived.  Lynn, I second Snowy's complement about your good deeds , so please accept my Thanks!  Kathy, glad the stomach bug has left your house.  Also Kathy, It looks like you have done a wonderful job with the children.
Take care everyone.....sending hugs to you all.

Snow please keep posting. We love you.

My jaw hurts a bit more today. I am less sore from the over doing of things. Still I think I will rest today. Maybe take a nap.

Lev I am so glad you are doing well.
Don't know how most other people who lurk here are feeling, since they don't post and share, but I'm feeling tired, beat up, misunderstood and did I say tired?  And I will refrain from more posts, I guess the lurkers are probably tired of me, I've been all over the board these last few days and it's time to give over to someone with other views.

Lynn, you do a huge service to people in need, thank you.  You're appreciated, whether people tell you so online or not.  Others with other points of view and experiences are welcome whether they think so or not, but I'd advise against profanity and virtual face-slapping if you expect to be taken seriously.

Milly, I hope you're ok and the storm waves don't knock you anyplace you aren't prepared to be, that you're comfortable as can be and your friends, family and neighbors look out for you as you always have for them.

Be safe, be warm, be there for each other, not against each other.  We're in this RA world together.
Thank you Snow for the kind words and let me add that I also hope that you don't stay away for long.

You are a very valuable member of this community!

Your wise words and thoughtful responses are an important part of this board.

Be well and come back when you're ready

I am feeling well, considering I helped my husband clear our driveway yesterday. LOL I didn't do a lot, but I did shovel some snow, came in and took some meds and hit the couch. We had a very bad blizzard here a couple of days ago. I am still home from work, as the roads are still pretty bad. I plan to go back to work tomorrow. It is so COLD...

Just want to say to Snow Owl that I enjoy reading your posts. Hope you come back soon. And, Lynn, I do appreciate all the information you provide for all of us who visit this forum. 99% of the people who post here are kind and supportive. I guess we should just ignore the remaining 1%...???

Hope everyone is safe and warm!
VSnow, sometimes we're strong and we can deal with the anger and craziness and then there are times when it's all too much to bear.  People are ill with diseases through no fault of their own and they shouldn't be badgered but that's what happens when you're involved in an unmoderated forum.  When I can't take the hostility any longer I take a break; it doesn't mean that I don't care about the forum members, their struggles and achievements.  I have to do it for my own health.

The one constant I've found is, don't engage in conversation with the bullies, trolls and cyber stalkers because it's a "no win" situation and only causes harm to the responder.  We all want to be loved but there are a very few who loved to be hated, don't give them the pleasure of disliking them, just ignore them.

If you need a break, take it and don't feel guilty or look back, just come back to the forum when it quiets down.  PM us and let us know you're doing good. Like I said earlier, I came back at the wrong time but here I am to stay for awhile.

I'm still off work due to the URI, on antibi. and resting.  I'm tired of resting, I want to do something exciting - maybe this weekend.  Our weather is amazing - cold but sunny and no snow.  May take the metal detector and go treasure and rock hunting.  Everyone stay warm and for all of you in the storm zone be safe.  Lindy
