I just signed up to create a team to do the Arthritis Foundation walk here at the Pheonix Zoo on May 7th.  I am looking forward to it.

Any of you do the walk?  It is only 1.1 mile.  If any of you would like to join us, let me know and I will add you to our team.  It is free.

I have a friend and two children so far to join me.
Good luck with the walk!!Wonder if they're doing that near me? I could walk that far - but I don't know if I could do a long drive first. Is there a site where I can look it up? It's at arthritis.org

They are all over and you can look in your area.  I've been thinking of trying to do it here in California. Wonder what happens if you can't finish.I don't know about that.  I read that you have to be fit to do the walk.  You have to click on an agreement and there may be a medical release the day of the walk.

I saw people being pushed in a wheelchair on the television.  The Arthritis Foundation had a show on tv about it today.  That is how I learned about it.
I wonder if I could do it...Im not sure. I wonder if they will be in Houston. When is the one by you??Oh, duh! May 7th---like you already said..

I had kept forgetting to look at the foundation website for exercise classes. I finally did and just had a Homer Simpson "Duoh!" moment! Not only is there a class at the hospital that is 10 min away from my house, but there is also one at the hospital where I WORK!!!Good Luck to all of you who are walking!

This is my fourth year doing the walk. It is 3 miles with a one mile loop for those who can't make the whole 3 miles. I'm doing the one in San Jose, CA. So far this year I've raised over ,000!!!! This is also my first year volunteering for the walk committee.

Even if you can't complete the walk it is so much fun to just go down and see everyone participating and raising awareness.

I just got my first donation.  I am really excited for this.  I can't wait to meet other arthritis people.  I am interested to see how many people come out.  It will be great.   ours in Houston is the 5K or 1mile also. I am going to stick with the 1 mile. I wish I could bring my dog, but I would end up carrying her because she would try to attack the other dogs.I just wanted to say that I have earned 240 dollars so far for the walk.  My goal was 100 and I am so happy about it.  I haven't even made my own contribution yet, but I will.  I have a group of two adults and two children to walk.  I am looking forward to it.
