What will all of you be doing for Easter?

I usually have everyone(parents, sister and her family, brothers and their families) at my place for all the holiday dinners, but this year I just can't.  It's become too much for me.  So this Easter will just be my son and his wife, and my daughter. I'm not sure what to have though...ham or turkey?  One thing is for sure...lots of chocolate!!   Easter will be a quiet one. Just me and the roomie. Correction.... my girls, cats, too. We're just going to have a small baked ham with pineapple and cherries on it with the juice and brown sugar for a glaze. Baked potato, green beans, another veggie, and cake or fruit tart.

   HAPPY EASTER to all.

MarisaI can't do the Easter thing either.... although, I just have my kids (2) and their significant others over.  We have HAM (it's easier than a turkey for me) and plus I can do the cheesy potatoes, yams, and a dessert a couple of days in advance.   That way I am only really doing about 1 thing a day to prepare and I don't get so worn down. It's just my husband and me. We'll probably go out to have Easter brunch.

My husband and I and our kids are going 4-wheeler riding on Sat. and then Sat night we are going to watch a UFC fight on pay-per-view and have friends over to watch, then just the adults are going to trail ride on the 4-wheelers all night.  Sunday we are going to hang out with our neighbors. The guys will be doing all of the cooking. My husband loves to cook and our neighbor is a chef. They are going to smoke venison and then make beans and potato salad. The kids can hunt for easter eggs and I am going to RELAX! Good thing I am not a big easter candy eater! I do love those pecan eggs though, but one is enough. I am sure we will have pleanty of family passing through during the day Sunday...that is the nice thing about living so close to each other.

It is great fun!

For our Easter, all of my family comes to my house for brunch, this year, Im cooking biscuits and gravy, sausage, ect. and then we all go out into the desert (about a mile from my house) and fly kites! The kids can run and not get lost and we "grown ups" usually end up chasing stray kites or untangling kite reels, or chasing stray kids and untangling them out of the string...just kidding!
