if there are any specific medical criteria which determine that a patient is failing on a biologic medication?  I've been on Orencia for 2+yrs and the last 3 or 4 infusions haven't done much of anything for me in terms of stability.  However, my labs (including ESR & CRP) are all still within normal ranges.

I'm flaring more, with greater intensity and for longer periods of time than I was, say a year ago when I actually thought I was cured.  HA!

Thanks for your time.

k, along with your labs the RD should be examining your joints and talking with you about your level of pain.  If you're noticing more joint involvement, flares, etc.  then it sounds like the treatment has failed.  There is a chart that the RDs use, can't remember the name but it was posted on the forum at one time.  It's a set of criteria used to stage the disease.  Lindy
