Arthroscopic Knee Surgery | Arthritis Information

I had to have Arthroscopic Knee Surgery 8 days ago. I have had a good bit of swelling even my ankle. What has really surprised me is I have had more pain in my calf muscel really than my knee. He also had to repair a torn miniscus. I can only be up bearing weight on it for about an hour at a time, and then Iam in so much pain I have to sit in my recliner for about 2 hours and then I can go for about another hour, and the cycle keeps repeating. Is it normal for your calf muscel to be painful after knee surgery. I have been trying to walk with a cane but I can only stand for about an hour. The bad part is Iam an amputee on the other side and have cronic pain from multiple surgery there before and after amputation. The calf muscel pain is what really surprised me. Has anyone else had this same pain after Arthroscopic Knee surgery? Is it normal. After 8 days should I still be in a lot of pain. On my follow up visit the Dr even sent me to be cjecked for a blood clot but it was negative.
