I gotta say though...the buttered popcorn flavored ones taste JUST like popcorn! and none of those nasty hulls to choke on! Strawberry cheesecakes were pretty good, too. The rootbeer ones even had a tiny bit of fizz to them.
I'd much rather spend my life indulging in the small and simple pleasures, than counting every calorie and eating a rigid "good for me" diet. I'm old school and still cook everything from scratch. I eat sensibly 99% of the time; so I know these jelly beans didn't give me RA.

Marie,
Sounds like a sensible plan to me!

anybody can stuff anything they want into their face. Anybody can do whatever pleases them, but when you come here crying about your disease expect no sympathy from me. It seems everyone here has that same attitude and thats why I say expect no sympathy from me, not even just a little bit. I suppose that you think you are doing your body a favor by cooking from scratch. Well you guessed wrong because you obviously stuff your face with large amounts of food and now you are sick and don't want to change anything so enjoy the sickness and enjoy the food.In addition to dates some of my favorite snacks are dried apricots, prunes, baked sweet potato sticks, raspberries and strawberries. Also, am addicted to baked sweet potato sticks.
ron, if you told me that "stuffing my face" gave me diabetes; I might be inclined to agree with your theory...even though it's not true, since I rarely eat more than a 3 year old. Can you tell me the reasoning behind your theory that I got RA through a poor diet?
You tell me that I am deluding myself by thinking that cooking from scratch is a good thing. How can vegetables and fruits from the farmers' market be bad for me and give me RA? How can 6 ounces of jelly beans spread over the course of a few months give me RA? Maybe it's all the fruits that get sent through my juicer, instead of the gallons of soda that other people drink? Perhaps it's the tea that I make home-made so I don't get all those preservatives and junk in pre-mixed bottles? Could it be the farm raised, free range chickens or the fresh fish?
So, do you think if I cut out the jelly beans my RA would go away?
I suspect that I got RA because someone had to get it and I won that particular lottery. I actually think that I was OVERLY healthy and my immune system went haywire. Sometimes these things happen without any cause. I can assure you that my diet is NOT the problem here.
And not to be redundant; but I neither want or need your sympathy. Thankfully, I can give that to myself and have no need of yours.
Poor Ron, It's sad that you have no life and want to pick every one's life apart. I guess your going to tell me that my cancer, and rupture aneurysms and lots more plus RA. Are you telling me that all I got to do is eat potatoes and it will all go away. I'm an old woman and I try to make me and my family happy while I'm here, sorry I think your funny. and Unless a doctor tell me different I'm going to eat what I want.[QUOTE=rusty] Poor Ron, It's sad that you have no life and want to pick every one's life apart.
