Hi to everyone

First of all, a HUGE thank-you to all of you who have taken the time to read my posts, reply and been there is some of my "worst" days!

About a month or so ago, I was diagnosed with PsA, (after having bad symptoms for almost a yr.) Tomorrow will be my 3rd Methotrexate injection...and YES, it "does" get better! (As everyone told me...)

I just had to share my story, for those who feel as if there is NO hope (as I was feeling very recently...) Almost all my awful side effects are either gone or "almost gone..." I no longer need to sleep 20 hrs. a day...lol - and can actually walk for 30 min. around my neighborhood...(I know it doesn't sound like much, but considering I could barely get out of bed either due to pain or fatigue, just a few weeks ago...It's a "huge" improvement for me!)

I know, as any disease, I will have my "good" and "not so good days" however knowing they aren't all bad, is GREAT for me!

Many Hugs to all!

Sandy.

So Happy for you, Sandy!!  Everyone needs to hear of the successes to know that there is one out for them.. I hope you continue to feel better and better.

Best to you!

Sandy!!!  Wow - that was a quick kick-in for your methotrexate!  How super for you that you are feeling so much better so quickly.  Really happy for you!  And Spring on the way soon for you too!  We're heading into Autumn down here, and although I keep really well overall, the times I do get knocked around a bit is in this changeable weather period.
I guess my body is "acclimatising" again and getting ready for winter!

Cold and wet one day, then sunny and warm - then cold again!  Seems to particularly affect my ankles, feet, and hands, but my body generally stiffens up as well!   Nothing that I have to take extra meds for fortunately, my heated cornie bags are great to cuddle up with though!  Just have to make sure that I keep up with getting outside in the garden and doing my walking to keep things moving!!  Even if it's up to the Local Mall and having a wander around the shops and a coffee LOL!

I'm so pleased for you that you are feeling better, and hope you continue to improve! Thanks to all for your good wishes! I figured it wasn't fair to just hear me complain! Lol...I'm sure the Methotrexate hasn't kicked in completely, but any relief is "welcome!" It's amazing how differently you see life, when it's been rough for awhile...now "only" three of my fingers are still hurting-however I'm ok with that, considering several weeks ago, almost all of my fingers were in severe pain...

Kiwilass2: you mention your "cornie bags?" Are those like the aromatherapy "bean bags" that you can freeze and heat? Those have been my "best friends" for yrs. for my migraines, and now help for my arthritis as well :)

Anyway, take care everyone!
So glad you came back to share good news :)

I hope you continue to feel better and better.  RA and PsA are scary diseases and the newly diagnosed are often overwhelmed.  We've all been there.  I hope others read your post and can hopefully realize things will improve.
So glad to hear that MTX has been helpful in making you feel better.  Hope your health continues to improve!

I hope you continue to improve

Hey Sandy, so glad to hear your good news....it's wonderful.  You're a perfect example of starting meds early on in the disease process so that you have the optimum effect from them.   Keep posting.  LindyOnce again,

"Thank-you" all for your kind words and support

Ronbn56: I always like to give people the "benefit of the doubt;" however it's VERY sad that everyone here was right about you! What kind of a person posts such hurtful comments to someone who could barely get out of bed several weeks ago, and is now enjoying life again!???? If you don't agree on "how" I got to feel better, than show some respect-and keep it to yourself!

Sandy.
THERE IS A CURE BUT ITS NOT A PILL.AS YOU HAVE READ FROM OTHERS THE DRUGS MAY WORK FOR A WHILE BUT THEY ALWAYS FAIL. THERE IS A CURE FOR THIS DISEASE AND ITS NOT A DRUG.Ok ronbn56:

Since apparently YOU know have the cure to all diseases and seem to have ALL the time in the world, to give your opinion where it is NOT asked..."please" tell me how I can get rid of this painful condition

Sandy,

I've not visited for a while so I haven't read most of your posts, but it was really nice reading this one.  I'm so glad the Methotrexate is working for you.  Relief is good!

It has already been posted for those that want to heal themselves, however those such as you that want to encourage others to take more drugs it has been overlooked as you whine to each other and attack me. Remember the guy with his head in the sand, thats all of you.
You know, when there is a real cure for a disease, there is medical and scientific statistics and facts to prove the cure. Has anyone seen ronbn56 post any stats to show how many RA sufferers have been cured with his miracle theories? Of course not. Why? Because as we all know, there are no stats or proof. You know, he thinks everyone should just believe him. After all, he is the medical savior. He doesn't have RA. Knows nothing about RA but, he is smarter than the RA Doctors.
