New study from Ohio University showing that strawberries may be able to prevent cancer.  Interesting read.

Well it is strawberry season.

ronbn562011-04-10 10:09:16Why don't you tell me the "whole story", Ron?

While you tell me the story; perhaps you can leave out all the jelly bean references and the name calling. I am trying to be respectful of your opinions and I take nutrition very seriously; but your constant nastiness really makes me want to stay away from your posts.

I absolutely want to hear your ideas and opinions. So far I am having more bad experiences with drugs than good. It would help me if I could take you seriously instead of reading how jelly beans are killing me.

Looking forward to hearing what you have to say, as long as your post doesn't call me names or berate me for the way you THINK I eat.
thanks LinB..  great info.. I just printed about six strawberry recipes yesterday... I will be using them soon!!

NJ Marie... Sorry, my link didn't didn't hilite and work.  It is an interesting read, especially since esophaegeal cancer can be one of the more difficult cancers to treat.  LindyThanks, ron.

I am definitely going to look into this. Worst case scenario; I get a whole bunch of good stuff flowing through my body.

Giving up the bread is going to be the hardest part for me. I once tried the Atkins Diet (pre RA) and got seriously ill with stomach problems and leg cramps, etc. I now wonder if that was "toxic overload"?

I just juiced a bag of oranges and some grapes and a melon yesterday. I love mixing up my own fruit juice concoctions. The only problem I find is that the bag of oranges cost more than the half gallon of juice I could have bought in a carton. But on the plus side, no one makes grape, cantaloupe, blueberry & kiwi juice! (Except maybe V-8 Fusions; but they are around .79 a half gallon.)

What about those vegetable broths that the clinic you linked spoke of, ron? Am I strictly limited to fruits, or can I also make veggie drinks? I'm thinking a hot broth might feel more like dinner than a cold glass of juice; thus making it easier to stick to the program.
