Hi all,
I am currently coming off medication to make it safe for me to fall
pregnant. I have been off Mtx for 5 weeks now - so far so good.
I am wondering if anyone has experience coming off Humira for this
reason? I want to know how long before you started trying to concieve
did you come off Humira? I have been told one month but I have
recently read somewhere that it needs to be 5-6 months, I am confused.
I know there have not been many studies done on Humira and pregnancy
but I am interested in what other people have been advised to do.

Sorry I can't help you since I'm already in menopause and didn't get diagnosed until fairly recently. Good luck to you though in getting safely pregnant. Maybe you could get info through Humira. I'm on Enbrel and they have a hot line you can call at any time to talk to a nurse. Also, I imagine Internet might have some info. Hi, I'm hoping to have another child next year, too. I went on the arthitis.org website and found a helpful article on becoming pregnant with ra. I don't remember if it listed humira, but it had lot of info about ra drugs and becoming pregnant. How have you been feeling after coming off MTX? How long were you on MTX before stopping it? Good luck with everything and I hope you go into remission during pregnancy!! Also, you may want to search this site' archives. You can type in pregancy and humira and see what comes up... Maybe someone had this same issue a while ago??Thanks. I have been off Mtx now for 6 weeks and I am suprisingly quite well. I have to take it easy but generally I am heaps better than I expected.
I will keep researching the Humira and pregnancy issue.
If I find out anything new I will post it.
