I can't remember where I read about the history of RA but I know it is an ancient disease. A piece of ra trivia. Do you know the "Birth of Venus" painting by Botticheli? The model, standing in a clam shell had RA. They can tell by the swelling in her wrists and ankles.

About the jaw problems. Yes I have them off and on. Originally they thought it was TMJ but it comes and goes. At one point I couldn't open my jaw very wide for a few weeks. Sometimes my jaw cracks when I open my mouth. I was supposed to get a device to wear at night but by the time I went to see the specialist, the problem had resolved itself.

My mom read a story about the bones of some tribe of indians in New Mexico that had RA bones and there were references to "bone pain" or something like that.  They had to climb ladders in and out of pueblos in those days.  I think we have it much better! yes I have read about bones that were dug up and the skeletons had RA. Not that I dont think healthy eating helps, because I think it could for some...but fossils with RA kind of discredits some of those types of theories, huh?
