My name is Chuen Chou and I am a student of Stanford University’s Product Design Program. As part of a term project, I am currently working on a travel case designed to keep temperature sensitive medications cool. Through this project, I hope to improve the convenience and privacy of users like you during times when access to a refrigerator is not possible for significant durations. I am seeking your kind assistance in the form of information regarding your experience with these medications. I would be really grateful if you could spare 5 minutes to fill in this anonymous survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=374472025971. Feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you wish.

If you are interested in corresponding further with me regarding this project, I can be reached at zhouquan@stanford.edu. Additionally, if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would be interested and willing to speak to me in person, or be involved in user feedback on preliminary designs, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I took your survey. It's a good idea. I take HUmira and I did get a little travel cooler with my start up pack. I've never had to use it....but there are a lot of folks that travel for a living. A device that could insure the safety of their meds would be valuable. The cooler I have is nothing more than a lunch box style cooler that you'd have to put a cold pack in. I suppose it would work for short trips but I'd worry about it for much longer than 18 hours or so.

Best of luck to you in your research.

I have traveled cross country on planes with Humira.  I used a little lunch type cooler and used one of the ice packs they send with the Humira.  by the time I got to my hotel, the Humira was still cold and then 1 hotel had a refrig in the room (very nice to have), the next time the hotel did not offer refrigs but there was an ice machine on the floor--so once in the am and once at nite, I filled up a plastic bag and kiept the bag with the Humira.  It worked.  I threw the ice packs out after I had the shot.  I would like to see some kind of little cooler that would not take up a lot room in my carry-on luggage.  How many times should you post this?
