New and wanting to connect | Arthritis Information

Hi!!

My name is Suellyn.  In 1987 I was in an auto accident and part of the things that I am left with is arthritis tho I have been told it is not the degenerative kind.  Thank God for little favors!

I have found some things that help me through the days and nights.  Just let a front approach or the humidity level go above say at the highest 40 then I am in pain and not too pleasant tp be around sometimes.

I would like to hear from others who have noticed tht the weather plays a big role in their functioning levels.  Particularly I am interested in where you have found to be a good place to live.

Welcome Suellyn, This is a good place to come to. We all support each other.
When the weather changes, I know about it in advance. I don't need a weatherman. People will look at me as if I'm crazy when I tell them that's it's going to rain tomorrow as it's sunny out but my joints will be aching.
Cold damp weather isn't good for me. I have to have my heat so I live in the desert southwest. I find that it is the best for me.
Before you decide to relocate, try to visit the area before hand to see if it's for you. Make sure that you visit at different times of the year.
   Good luck and again welcome.

Hi Marcia!!

Thanks for the reply.  Thought I would be the only one online on Easter Sunday.  lol

I am thinking about the Southwest Marcia.  I ill make a trip out there before I put my house up for sale.

I used to live in New Mexico and it has pretty dry weather.  But I probably could do better in Arizona.

I tried to run a search to find the average humidity levels of each state earlier but no such luck!  It does seem that is something that someone should poet if only the Arthritis Association.  But it is relly hard to find out.

Can you suggest any other sttes or places tht might be good?  Dom't think I want to live in Texas.  What I have heard about their laws and how women are treated there dosn't sound like anything good.

I know what you mean about the weather changes.  Actually I have been sensitive to the weather changes since a young girl.  I too have taken lots of jabs about saying"it is going to rain or a sront is coming"  I will react to fronts anywhere from 2 to 4 days depending on what the barometer is doing in the front.  Strangely enough tho, the hurricanes that we had didn't effect me as much as most fronts.
