Just heard about US tornadoes on the news!  Awful!!  I hope members and their families are safe and unhurt.  Yes, even with the bombardment of news about The Wedding past few days, in amongst the usual wars, riots, break-ins etc, we in Aus. have been hearing quite a bit about the  tornadoes, and some scary scenes shown on TV.  Hub listens to Dutch news every morning and the tornado destruction featured on it this morning.  Hope that all members and their families and friends have been kept safe.I mentioned somewhere that Joonie is from one of the tornado areas...Alabama I think. Hoping she is OK...It does not look good at all. Very scary stuff.  Poor Alabama, and all the other states.  I ended up getting a hotel room Wed. night after my appointment in Richmond.  Tornado warnings were everywhere.  Even one on the campus of my college.  The front desk said they would ring the rooms if there was a warning for our area.  It's frustrating when you are not enitrely sure of where you are.  The warnings would list counties and then break it down to individual areas within that county.  Just not familiar enough to feel truly safe.  Left pretty early Thurs. morning to try and avoid the severe storms.  Once again, tornado warnings like crazy.  The sky looked crazy all day Wed.  It even smelled wierd outside.   Lots of rain at my house, but no storm damage.  Sad that 3 people died not far from here.  This is the second time this month we've had warnings.  Not common in Virginia.  Pulaski(about 30 min south of Va Tech) had 400 homes destroyed earlier.  Tornadoes just don't happen often in the mountains.  Nobody has storm shelters an many homes don't have basements.

I hope that all members of the board are safe and sound.  Joonie, if you are lurking around, please post or send a message letting us know you are safe.
