Happy May Day !

It's a warm Sunday here today.  When I got up to take the dogs out at 5:30, it was 60 degrees.

Not a lot of sunshine yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed

Today, DH and I are going to Lowe's.  We've decided to build some raised beds for both the veggies we plant and a tiered one for some strawberries.   I love buying plants, but it's a little early for that here.  The chance of a killing frost is still pretty good.  I usually don't put my plants in until mid May.

We have had so much rain that the lawn needs to be mowed, so I think that will be happening today too...

I hope you all have a fun and relaxed Sunday.

Take care,

Lynn
Good morning, Lynn. It is only 49 degrees here this morning, bit at least the sun is shining and it is supposed to be in the fifties today. My husband is going to build some raised beds for me, too! I used to have a big garden, but I can't do that anymore. Raised beds make it possible to have a vegetable garden, even if you can't use a tiller anymore or hoe weeds. How wide are you going to make your raised beds? I think ours will be no more than four feet wide, so that I can access them without walking on the dirt and packing it down.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Vee,

Not sure how wide yet, DH is in charge of those details

We decided to do raised beds because the dogs have made grass growing difficult, so we thought the raised beds would be a good solution

You have a great day!
I'm up and sunshine is streaming through the windows.  Will probably be in the 60s today and I'm also off to Lowe's and the nursery, more herbs and a few hardy flowers.  My seedlings are all sprouting and that brings a smile to my face.

Hope everyone's day is wonderful and pain free.  Lindy
Good morning everyone! I was up late last night, so slept in this morning. It's sunny and warm out now, but it's going to heat up this afternoon and through next week. I'll probably be staying in with the AC on! Hope everyone has a nice day!
