Enbrel cough question | Arthritis Information

Share

I have had a dry cough for 4 months (sometimes a little flem)  after using enbrel for 4 months.
My doctor says its probably not from Enbrel.
I already had asthma before starting enbrel for RA.

Is the any other medication that some has switched to that doesn't trigger a cough for treating RA.  I have tried the pills and they didn't help.
Its very irritating to cough at work and there are lots of people around me.
thanks
Enbrel has been known to trigger upper respiratory infections (sinus infections) and headache this are just the common side effects. The serious side effects are TB, hepatitis B can become active if you once had it, seizures, multiple sclerosis to mention but a few.  Are you sure it is not allergy ? You may require a second opinion especially if it affecting your work. Hope you get well soon.http://www.arthritisjointpaingone.com rvaede,

You need to post your questions at the rheumatoid arthritis message board. You will get more responses than just from spammers.

I have taken enbrel with pretty much no side effects. Altho the enbrel was effective, my rheumatologists wanted something that would put me into remission and get me off the prednisone. I now get rituxan infusions.

It is my opinion as an rheumatoid arthritis sufferer, that the most important part of our remedy is a good rheumatology team. It sounds as if your Doctor needs to be replaced. Any doctor that takes any thing for granted when their patient is taking such serious drugs as rheumatoid arthritis drugs needs to be replaced. Get yourself a good rheumatologist.
