hi guys, anyone remember me?

thought id check in and see how you all are. im having a bit of a crappy time right now. not with the ra, that couldnt be better. joints have been inactive for about 8 months now. occassion 2 day flare up in my fingers but nothing painful or restricting. mtx seems to be doing wonders and my bloods are perfect so im very pleased about that.

right now im going through a stressful time at uni. i have handed in my 10,000 word project and im just nearing the end of a month off for easter. had a mountain of coursework to complete though and i have 3 exams comin up in just over the month. i have been so lazy though and i just dont have the motivation to revise and do the work. i really think my brain has given up on me. this is what i have been working towards over the last 3 years so i need to find some inspiration from somewhere.

what isnt helping is that my boyfriend of 2 1/2 has just been accepted to go on placement in north carolina for a year with the university. there goes the end of our relationship. i was made up when i met a new guy a few weeks back and things were going great. lots of flirting, meeting up and him telling me how much he likes me. last spoke to him 2 days ago when he said he would texted me but have i heard from him since then....NO! Now I'm trying to suss out whether its me being overly paranoid and him being a typical laid back guy who doesnt see three days without speakin 2 me a problem or whether he isnt interested.

so basically the point of this message is to have a good old rant and get some things off of my chest and to check in and see how you all are. good i hope. look forwrad to reading up on how its going for each of you.

It's really good to see you here and even better to hear that you're feeling good. I'm sorry to hear about the boyfriend trouble right now...but try to remember that everything happens for a reason. Even when it breaks our hearts. The good Lord just has better things in store for you.

How have you been? Pain free I hope.

All I know is he is going to the University. Are there a few Unis in NC? I'm not to good on geography. I'm trying to keep positive as I dont believe any boy should get a girl down cuz if they do they arent worth it. I'm more upset about this new guy though. Can't work out what he is thinking. Hopefully it will sort but I'll keep my chin up as much as I can.

Let me known how your doing. I'm gonna make sure I come visit the board alot more as soon as I'm done with my exams. You guys were great when I was first diagnosed and helped me probably the most out of everyone that supported me. Miss you guys

Hi Jena,

I remember you and I remember the last time you posted in AI.  I think you where just getting your MTX and wasn't working all that well.  I'm very glad to hear that it did. 

I am sorry to hear about the overload of school work you have.  Having diseases like we have, requires so much out of us that some times we just don't have all the gumption we need to finish very needed projects. I also remember how hard you worked to get where you are.  Just remember.  You need to take it a few steps at a time.  Don't over tire yourself and get the big stuff out of the way first, the easier things will fall in place.

For the new Mister in your life.  Hmm...more than likely laid back...but if he doesn't text you in a few more days.  Text him and ask" what's up"  We live in the new millennium, we women can do that.
I am sorry to hear about the boyfriend of 2 1/2.  I am sure that hurt a bit, to have him move so far away.  But don't say it over, till it truly is over and in the mean time, after your all caught up from your back load of things to do.  you can either take a holiday and visit him in NC or  just enjoy getting to know yourself again.

What ever you decide.  I hope it all works out for you.  Congratulations for making the 3 years at the university.  I think you did quite well considering what you have had to go through.

There are several in NC. UNC Chapel Hill and that's in Durham NC as well as NC State and Duke....Ther are several others as well. ASU, ECU....but so is UNCC Charlotte and that's real close to where I live. If you do end up visiting him in Charlotte you let me know. We'll get together.

I'm managing better than I have in a long time. You know how this stuff goes; so I hesitate to get too excited....but my meds are going strong and mentally I'm real happy as well. Who knew marriage would suit me so well?

You keep in touch with us. We know you stay busy with school and a active social life but we think of you often. Try not to put too much stress on this guy thing. The one that's for you will chase YOU down and you'll know for sure he's the one. It will come easy. A girl as beautiful as you will have no trouble attracting the type of man you can love forever. Make him prove it to you....don't sit around and wish one would call. The right one won't let grass grow under his feet. He won't let you get away. The ones that will won't be worth it.

Come see us when you have time. There's always someone here.....and you can leave the ones who aren't a message. We miss you!!
