We are basking in a warm trend of very hot and humid weather...Not my favorite Lynn492011-06-07 08:02:18Well the good news is that it stormed in Florida yesterday, the bad news was it was lightning, but very little rain.  More wild fires, the sky is full of smoke.

The RA is doing great, still in remission, and I hope it stayes that way.
Going back to the Amazon Jungle for treatment from the natives and thier plants.  It really helped last time, and just maybe this time it will fix this problem.
Ya'll have a good day

Now there is a wild fire (big one!) close to hereReal happy for you Lynn! Good afternoon everyone.  We've been traveling and came back this weekend.  I'm back in the office to utter chaos but not my chaos and I can choose to stay out of it and that's what I've done - hunkered down in my own little office.

Weather in Nevada is outrageously beautiful.  In the 80s, sunny and just about perfect.

Like everyone else we've been adding to Mother Nature's bounty by planting flowers, herbs and harvesting radishes, lettuce and tomatoes.  Have to be careful and plant drought resistant plants because we're off again in July for 3 weeks and I don't want the person who's watering to have to do it everyday.  My container gardens need watering everyday in the summer and that's enough to keep her busy for the 3 weeks.

Lynn, You and Lev give me such hope.....I should have my first Rituxan infusion next week.  I see the RD Friday and hopefully it can be scheduled the sooner the better.  I've been off all RA meds since mid February and I'm in a massive flare, on 45 mg. of Pred. and pain meds so I can function.  I'll see the cardiologist on Thursday and get her final ok to start Rituxan.  I'll probably have another echo to see if my left ventricle pumping has increased.   Many of the symptoms are gone and I feel much better cardiac wise.

My DH has surgery on Monday.  We've been juggling appts., therapies, our calendar is nothing but doctor and treatment appts.  We took off for 10 days just to get away from the medical schedule and try and have some fun.

Our kitties have been their usual bad boys and have the ranch beagles on high alert
Right now they're very cautious of the rabbits because we have some bunnys as big as the cats, so the cats decided not to chase the bunnys after Hobo got a good thumping last month.

Good afternoon everyone! Lynn, I love your post...so positive! Makes me feel better reading it, knowing that some day, maybe I'll have remission also! I see my RD in two weeks, and hopefully we'll consider the Actemra again...the twice monthly Simponi just isn't cutting it.

I have always wanted a screened in front porch, and maybe when we move down to San Diego next year we'll be able to find a house that either has one, or has the area to build one.

Hope everyone is having a great day!
Hello to all this hot afternoon!  Lynn, great, great news, it gives hope to us all!  Your puppy is such a beauty and sounds quite smart too.  Do they cope with the heat alright?  I had a big, old rowdy lab that I kept a pool out for and that worked for him.  My great grandmother had a screened in porch on the east side of her house.  She called it the sleeper porch and it was the best place to nap on a hot afternoon.  She didn't have AC and the porch allowed for the breeze to sweep through the house.  I loved spending the night, sleeping out there, listening to the coyotes howl.

Snakes!  What wonderful news!  I've been taking Rituxan for about ten months and it has worked for me as well.  I've taken almost every other RA medication, out there, and none of them, have worked as well as the Rituxan.  It's nothing short of a miracle drug!  I haven't felt this good in years!  We are both so very blessed!

Thanks Waddie.  The shaman has me drink a concoction of roots vines bark.  Something they have been doing for a thousand years.  It sounds strange, but I couldnt even hold a coffee cup, but after that I have been good (MTX also).  I brought some home, but Im out and going back for more.  Talk about unconventual! That all sounds wonderful Lynn - so happy for you.  Finally something has helped.  Good for you Lynn !!!Hello all!

Glad to see such wonderful news from everyone! I can't add any good news, so I'll just shut up and be jealous of all you guys that are finding relief!

Hot as 2 rats boinking in a wool sock in NJ this week! Thank goodness for air conditioning! (And my very dear friend's built in pool!)
Gotta love the Chicagoland weather - 96F yesterday, and today it was in the 50's.  No exciting news to report... RA seems to be subdued for the time being, kids are out of school for the summer, husband's doing well, cats are fine... I'm just leading a boring Midwestern housewife life and I'm LOVING it.   LYNN!!  I am beyond thrilled for your RA success!!  I am so happy to hear of this..  and of course, that your puppy is a well-behaved addition!  and a screened porch is a wonderful thing to have.. enjoy!!
