Hurmia or remicade/enbrel not working | Arthritis Information

I have been on enbrel for 9 years along with methotrexate. The last year or so I notice that I have less energy and more pain , now my feet hurt badly, and my achilles on both feet are so tight as well as my calf muscles and all my muscles in my legs aches, I have never had that.

I am wondering if my Ra is flaring, but it has been over a year since I can do what I use to, I exercise, but I hurt more and the tnedons have been bad for over a year, and i have tried Pt and other things na dnothing is helping.

My blood tests say I have no inflmaation the sed rate is only 12, but the ball of my feet, hurt, my wrists hurt, my knees so dr said I could try a new med, either remicade or hurmia/

I know that meds are all individualized but I do not know what to do. THe thought of an iv does not thrill me, I have not swollen joints, my feet hurt and they are very red wheni do try to walk very far. The hurmia I would do myslef every other week.

I woudl like to know what people think of either drug. He enbrel worked good for a bit, any thoughts would be appreicated.

I haven't been on any of the biologics yet as at the moment my RA seems to be reasonably controlled with mtx, Celebrex and Arava. Am sure I've read somewhere on arthritis boards that sometimes one can do ok on a certain med. and then have to stop and change to something else after a few years. Are you going to a rheumy, or just a PCP?
