Feeling all the RA symptoms for 6 weeks straight - chronic pain, sick feeling, then waking up one morning and feeling "normal" for the entire day???  Is that possible??  Could tomorrow be an either way day????

THANKS!

milobean38826.5709027778That is exactly what happened to me. I woke up one morning and had the worst flare I have ever had. It lasted around 5 -6 weeks. Then, Easter Sunday I woke up and was fine! The swelling went down. I had so much energy. I felt so good! That lasted all day. I even did some jogging on my treadmill and lifted some weights for a half hour. Just days before, I couldn't hold my toothbrush. The next day, Monday, I started to feel funny. I thought it was just me. Maybe I was scared this good feeling wouldn't last? Then I started to swell again in my knees and ankles and wrists. Today I am not as bad as I was in my full flare, but I go to bed as soon as I get home from work... and I am swolen and sore. I can't say work is doing this to me. They saw how bad my last flare was, so this week they put me on a desk job to keep me off my feet and give my knee and ankles a rest. When I get home I can see how swolen my feet are. I don't know about anyone else, since I am new to this stage of RA. It never bothered me this bad before, which is scary for me. I hope you have a longer "normal" than I did. I had a great day though! What a gift!

That was about 12 years ago... now things are a little more normal for me.

Smiles, Jen

I do have days that are almost too good to be true. But truthfully they are few and far between. Just enjoy the good days, make the most of the bad days, and the really crappy days...come here and complain to us about them! What you're experiencing is exactly what I go through. You never know with this crummy disease what to expect.Hi.....first time here.....diagnoses with mild to moderate osteo in my knees although I must have it in my shoulders too because they hurt.....went for physical therapy 3 times (thats all my ins. would pay for).....I do the exercises at home religiously.....I can walk with some pain but stairs are a nightmare.....My rheumy said she might give me synvisc injections....Has anyone had them?.....Thanks for any info.
