Hi Folks

Just thought I'd say hi! I've had RA for about a year now, and sort of stumbled across the forum this morning while I was getting frustrated, with the help of Google.
Am I right in thinking that there aren't many fellow young(ish) male RA folk around these parts?

Anyway, it's nice to see that people are happy to listen at other peoples  bad times. I'm getting to the stage where I think everyone else is bored of listening to me whine on about it all the time!

Anyway, I've already read a lot that made me feel like I'm not alone in feeling like crap. Thanks!

I am not a youngish male but I would like to welcome you to AI.

A small FYI tip... open a new topic and ask if there are any young people around your age, in here, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

 Once again,

Welcome to AI... hsw77 and you are never alone in AI.

Neither youngish nor male, but we're all in the hurting, frustrated, whining boat together. It's a good place to vent when you've had enough. Welcome!

I'm not young and male either....but all are always welcome and you'll enjoy our company non the less I'm certain.

Welcome to AI.

Hi hsw!  Welcome!

Hi hsw77. Glad to see you found this site. Hope it helps you out and makes life easier on you. There is lots of good information and support.

Take care. Not many of us around here at all, welcome aboard.Hi Hugh, No one cares if you're male or female, young or old, just that we're all in the same boat and need to bounce things off each other. I'm oldish and female but I find a lot of suport here and I think you will too. WelcomeWell..I am 29 so I am starting to feel old. Not the big 30 until August!   I
was daiganosed at 19 so I felt pretty young at the time.

I did tell my dr. that they needed to expand their magazine collection at
the dr. office. If I see one more issue of AARP or Southen Living I will
scream!

BeckyWelcome.  This board needs some youngish male energy.  Stick around, we will do what we can to keep you Hi HSW, I am 33 female.  I was recently diagnosed.  It is one of those things that hits anyone and everyone -- it doesn't discriminate.  :) Hey, AZ - what are you saying? I think it DOES discriminate - it picks the nicest people, and that's why they all end up on these boards.  Welcome to the board! I am youngish...32, and female. I have been diagnosed recently, sort of.  This is a great place to get information and to chat with people who know what you are going through. I am new to these boards too, but found everyone to be so helpful, fun, and welcoming. Hope you are feeling better. [QUOTE=dar7733]Welcome to the board! I am youngish...32, and female. Hi, I was diagnosed at 27 and am now 47, but I was originally prescribed Gold injections, and they worked well for me for about 5 years.  You have to have your blod monitored fairly closely, as with most RA meds, but for me there were no side effects and while it worked it worked well.  Good luck with trying for a family.  I went also went throuhg that in my mid-thirties and had to come off MXT while doing so, so, although female,  I can understand the quandry that you are in.

Good luck!
