My sis in law has come down and worked her butt off getting my house clean enough and yard that I can hire help.  Housekeepers were turning me down

Still working on gardener.  Hope I get someone soon before the yard goes to hell after all my sis hard work.  I have been pretty useless.  Working one weekend I was down three days, and today I am flaring, a storm is coming in.  Been fighting for pain meds all week.

My boss told me I was going to work full time next week so I got a fight.  I have the paper that says I should not work full time until June 1 but I can see them working me 39.5 hours

Anyway, I have missed you guys but had my wonderful sis in law here, she leaves tomorrow and just been trying to feel better.

Back to work tomorrow - 6 am.  So anyway know how you get one of those work at home jobs?  I am finally seriously trying to look at other options.

I hope you all are having happy Spring days with lots of energy and little pain.  HUGZ

roxy38828.6728009259Roxy,  I'm so sorry!  *hugs*       Roxy,
Thank God that you have a wonderful sister- in- law.
Now that you have a housekeeper, it's one less thing that you have to worry about.
Wish that I could give you some ideas for work at home but I can't think of any right now.
Hang in there, girl. Will keep you in my prayers.

What a nice sister-in-law you have!

Have a good (pain free) day tomorrow!  We'll be thinking about you

Kelly

We WILL be thinking about you. Good luck. There has to be a better answer out there. Roxy, It must be a great feeling to get the house clean and to have someone to keep it that way. Our backyard is a complete jungle. I just tell everyone it's a greenbelt and we like the natural look. Hang in with the job. I would love to get out of my job and work at home too.

Roxy - you are very lucky to have such a sweet sister in law - she sounds like a keeper.

Good luck at work today.

Can I play devils advocate for a minute?  I own a small business and can tell you from that point of view - I wouldn't hire me!  I also would have a hard time keeping on someone who was hired for a certain job that could longer do that job.  The cost would outway most benifts of keeping that person (insurance, liability, etc.).  I would however try to find another position for that person that met both our needs. (Is that an option for you?  Maybe a desk job for the parks?)  That being said as someone with RA I am darn lucky to be in a position of choosing my hours  - so I'm not sure how I would feel if it was me on the other end.  I love my job and love the people I work with and so I wouldn't want to leave, but I also know full time for me is not an option at this time if ever again.  Okay now I am rambling just have a great day and remember to pace yourself.  Hugs and good vibes.

Hi Roxy, you always have postive thoughts in all your replies for others, so I really hope that your work situation goes your way.  Good luck, my thoughts are with you.

Dear Roxy:
well good luck on going back to work. I wished I did not have to work 40 hours a week and put in a little extra hours when available but have to work to live as we all do. Glad to know you have help at home for a little while. That has help me out a lot with my help. Good luck with going back to work. I know people that are healthy don't understand but it will be ok. I will have you in my thoughts.

Hey Roxy-can your sis in law come visit me too?

I know what you mean about flares after working. I can always push myself through my work days, but then when I am off I am useless too. It truely sucks. I would love to find a job that I could do at home.  I have done some searching and couldnt really find much except scams. Be careful. I know there is some great opportunity out there though...we just gotta find it!

Know what it feels like. You are very lucky to have someone help you.

I am not supposed to work for more than 20 hours a week and the doctor has flat out told me to work at home if at all possible. But I lose my insurance if I work less than 30 hours. I average around 35. Fortunately, my boss is very understanding about taking off for doctor's appointments etc. But it hurts that I can never work for promotions any more.

Eventually, I want to write and design full time from home. But even that I have to do carefully because you still have to have some kind of insurance and it can be stressful with deadlines and financial ups and downs.

I am hoping to write my own books and do paintings while I am still able to work, saving as much back as I possibly can. There are some other things to  consider. You can own property and rent it out. This would give you continous income. Think outside what takes your own individual, physical effort. What can your brain produce? Is there something that you can make at your own pace and then sell later?

Just some of the thoughts I am investigating at the moment. I really need to quit working. The drive kills me, not to mention the work.

Hey! Good news that you at least get a decent brake during the work day.  Hope more sunny days are in your future! In phoenix there a couple of jobs you can do from home but the jobs require experience. One is a medical transcriptionist lots of typing. Another is medical billing and coding alot of doctors will let you do this from home now after about 6months to a year of working with the company. The jobs don't pay the best but no work clothes, gas, and no eating out. Just a suggestion.

Roxy - that is good news, maybe between your new diet, the meds (and no rain) things will stay good for you- crossing everything that will cross for you.  Remember to pace yourself, okay?  (BTW - thinking you are a fighter and would fight for the job you love no matter if you had a union or not!!)  Hang in there.  Hugs and good vibes.

You're use to doing next to nothing for quite sometime now Roxy. It's going to take you some time to get use to this much activity alone. It's only natural to get off to a rocky start. Don't give up though. Chances are you'll soon adjust and find your stride.

But always keep your eyes open to something else that might interest you and be less stressful for you phyically.

We're proud of you girl. You've come a long way. Keep your chin up.

Glad you hear you had a good one! It gives you hope there will be more like it. Take care of yourself, Roxy. We're rooting for you. I love you guys.  I need your support.  We will see what happens.  Who knows, Orencia may be my savior.  I went to college for ten years while I raised my sweet daughter to do what I do, I have been doing it for 17 years.  I got some fight in me, RA or not.  Ouch, Ouch , Ouch.  Thanks guys.  Not up to much writing.  Owey, owey, owey.
