1st apt with RD | Arthritis Information

Hi guys,

I had my first apt with my RD yesterday and it went well.  Thankyou all for your suggestions.... it was very helpful to have a log of my symptoms.  The Doc seems to be a good guy, he listens and explains things in a very "easy" (for lack of better verbage) way.  He confirmed by MD's dx of RA.  He wants to increase my NSAID to it's maximum dose over the next few weeks and see how I do. He feels within the next few months he'll need to go to something stronger, but does'nt want to do that until he sees how I do with upping the dose of the current med.  The pain does seem to be getting proggresively worse, so this sounds like a good way to go to me....but what do I know?

Oh and best of all he found no lettuce in my blood

Sorry Lovie, I could'nt resist!

You guys are the best, Love to all, have a good day!!

Pam

Anyway, I'm glad the appt went well for you Pam.  It helps to have an RD that you feel you can trust and who works with you.  I have my first appt. next week, and truly hope the RD will be a good one, as she's close.  (They're hard to come by in these parts.)  Driving any distance is a difficult task for me.  I hope you can find a treatment plan that works well, and quickly.  Keep us informed.

Cris

Pam that's good news. I'm glad you liked him...that's very important as this will be a long relationship and having someone you like and are comfortable with makes such a big difference.

Glad to see you're keeping your sense of humor too....that will get you though the hard times.
