I didnt think I was going to be dealing with this pain again so soon. The hand pain I can deal with, but I cant work if I cant walk. I almost lost my balance and fell today at work. I wasnt going to call my RD because I already know what he will say...I dont want to go back on Prednisone. The recommedation of the nurses at work...call the doctor, you may need to back on Pred.-that is not what I want to hear. What else can I do?

I would call and tell the doctor but also mention that you do not want to go on prednisone and see if he could get you something else it would be worth a try.Size 6 1/2???? How lucky! I'm an 8 1/2 sometimes 9 and they're wide to boot. Finding shoes that fit and look half-way decent is a nightmare. I'll take 'em.

Sorry to hear you might have to go back on Prednisone. It made me sick the entire 5 days I was on it. I didn't take it the last day because I was in the emergency room with heart attack-like symptoms which I think was just the prednisone. I will never go back on it again!

Oh, I have two shoulders perfect for the job. I have two wrists I'd like to get rid of...I'd be willing to include the hands if they're neededI have two knees to throw in there too.I HAVE A RA IN MY VOICEBOX SO I WILL GIVE MY VOICE UP.TERESAOh and I can throw in both hips as one will be replaced soon. So we are getting close to a perfect bad body. ha....

Maybe we should try to create a healthy person. Does anybody have parts that work? I'm taking inventory now, but I'll have to get back to you. I think my fingernails look pretty good.

My doctor had me start wearing support stockings. Oh yuck! However, they help and I found some nice ones at Target. No one knows. Also, do check to see if you might need a diuretic. My feet hurt so bad without it that I can't walk.

You might not need prednisone. Don't forget shoes with cushions, good supports, etc.

Deanna, at the risk of being disgusting, but honest, I'll toss in my pubic hair. It hasn't hurt me in a couple of years. So now we have fingernails and hair. So we can build two beasts, a healthy model and a painful monster. I think I know which will be constructed first.

I'll throw in one slightly used jaw that periodically suffers from TMJ and two Sjogren's blighted eyes. I'd give more but it sems like you already have it wrapped up.

Could you get by on cortisone injections instead of the oral variety. My doc wanted me to get shots every 3 months for a while before I started the oral prednisone.

Okay here goes for the "healthy doll" I have two breasts and believe me they are the only body parts that don't hurt. Let's see we have finger nails, pubic hair, and 2 breasts. We need more parts because I plan on making a healthy doll and putting a photo of her on the site so all of you can share visually. It may take me several weeks after we get all the donated parts but I promise you she'll be my next art project. We need a name for her, so let's get that going also. Need arms, legs, feet, hands, head, hair, belly button, and facial features. Come on I know you ladies can donate. It will be fun to design and make because all of us have donated parts and a name. It will be art therapy for all of us.

Linda, we need to make two cyborgs. My future donations won't fit on "her".

I still have great thighs. I will throw them in. The rest of my body ra has ravaged. You can have my hair. It's light brown with red/gold highlights and a little on the wavy side thanks to mtx. It's my natural color as I'm going a little gray in the temple area.

Thanks everyone....still need arms, hands, feet, and facial features. I tell you the feet and hands are going to be hard to find because it seems like we all have trouble with those 2 body parts. We may have to see who has the best of the bad and use those.

My fingernails are all broken from moving this weekend. Oh boy! Am I crazy to do that with a bad shoulder.

However, even though I have pain, my feet look fine. They're a 7. If we're really desperate my hands might do. They are only swollen part of the time.

Definitely think the belly button is a big hit.

Crunchy, My feet are size 6 1/2 wide like you. Just bought a pair of white nurse like SAS shoes. What do you wear at work? Just saw this and seriously (knew only serious prospects should reply
