Just started taking the subject medication for hot flashes. I am a breast cancer survivor and taking Arimidex - one side effect of that is hot flashes that affect sleep and daily activity. So far I've experienced extreme dizziness - I feel fuzzy - after taking this medication. Anyone else have experience with this med for hot flashes - does the dizziness go away and any affect on hot flashes?
Welcome hotdog: I have RA, PA, and sciatica both legs and feet from a blown disk. I take Neurontin for nerve pain and it helps greatly. When I first started the med. it made me dizzy and fuzzy. The side effects only last for about 2 weeks and I've had no problem since then. Don't know about the affect on hot flashes.Thanks for your reply. Heard about this med for hot flashes through an article in the NY Times. I've worked my way through all the non-chemical remedies with no success so my doc said we could try this. If I can get past the fuzzy head and it goes away in two weeks that would be great. So far, I'm at least sleeping through the night for the last two nights - Haven't done that for a long time.
