HI, I AM NEW TO THE BOARD BUT I'VE BEEN READING AND WATCHING POSTS SINCE MARCH. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME FOR A POST ANYWHERE FOR ME AND I SEEM TO HAVE TROUBLE WITH MY E-MAIL SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO HELP. I HAVE LEARNED A LOT AND FOUND VERY COMFORTING INFORMATION BY READING THIS FORUM. I HAVE HAD A BAD LAST 2 YEARS BUT FOUND I AM NOT ALONE, IT WILL BE GOOD TO TALK WITH OTHERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. I HAVE HAD HASHIMOTO,S SINCE I WAS IN MY EARLY 20,S WHICH MADE ANY KIND OF DX DIFFICULT. THEN THEY JUST KEPT CHANGING THE DX UNTIL FINALLY THEY CLASSIFIED IT AS RA AND FIBROMYALGIA, BUT I STILL WONDER; MY RHEMY ASK ME TO GO FOR 2ND OPINION THAT DIFFERENT, PRESENTLY IAM TAKING ENBREL,MXT,FOLIC ACID,MIDROL,CELEBREX,SYNTROID, PAIN MEDS SLEEPING PILLS AND XANX (CAN'T SEEM TO SLEEP) THERE WERE MANY OTHERS BUT IF THERE NOT WORKING WELL WHY TAKE THEM. THE MXT WAS GREAT AT FIRST BUT NEEDED REENFOREMENTS LATER. NOT SURE ABOUT THE ENBREL. HAS GOOD AND BAD EFFECTS. WELL I AM GOING TO TRY AND REPLY TO SOME MESSAGE. IF I CAN THAT IS. I LOST THIS BOARD FROM MY FAVORITES TOOK ME 2 DAYS TO FIND IT AGAIN
Look forward to hearing more from you soon. Feel free to ask for help whenever nessesary. There's lots of experience here with RA....and these message boards
Again, Welcome. WELCOME:...Katt57, nice to meet you. I try to come in to AI every once and awhile and do some posting. It's a nice place, you'll like it here. RA sure is a strange disease to have. Seems what works with some does not work with others. And the to have Hashimotos on top of it, differently makes life a little less easy to deal with. Glad to see you decided to post and I hope that you will enjoy your time here as much as I do, when I can make it in here. You have a lot of giving souls, just waiting to help you out.
Take care of yourself and I hope to read more post from you. Hi Katt...welcome! Glad you were able to find us again and decided to post
Kelly Hellp Kat This is a good place to come to get a cyper hug or find information. Welcome to our group of "wanna be pain free again." Katt57
Well that is weird because I can remember as a child about 25 years ago that I would have thryroid problems and I would have like the mumps because of lymph nodes swelling. I would have the same symptoms. If I remember right he would say I had problems w/ my thryoid but now as a 35 year old I often ask Dr. to check my thryoid but no problems I guess. Oh and by the way welcome to the forum. do not participate too much but I ready every day.... It is a nice and comforting feeling to have support.
