this seems like such a great group.

i was dx'd two days ago.  wow.  ra on top of 20 yrs of cfs and fibromyalgia.

what is your best advice for me as i embark on this journey?  i'm a little lost in this new land of ra.

thanks so much.

Welcome Pookie!!

Do lots of research on your own. Knowledge is power they say.

oh, lovie, thank you so much.  you don't know how good your welcome makes me feel.

My advice would be to make a log of symptoms.  Anything out of the ordinary.  I have Fibro also, and sometimes have a hard time distinquishing the two.

Cris

welcome from across the seas

They really are good here you know. Get me through on days like today.

welcome pookie.  i'm the oddball of the group.  i'm 28, married, 3 yr old son.  now what follows is just my humble opinion....i'm definitely not minimizing anyone's struggle with RA.  but if you've lived with fibro and cfs for 20 years, you got a head start on dealing with the RA.  as someone said, it is at times hard ti distinguish between the two.  but for me, the RA is nothing compared to the fibro.  For me, the RA flares a lot less than the fibro.  it's also less all encompassing.  anyway, that said...
learn as much as you can...ask any questions you want.  i've seen almost any kind of question answered by at least one person in this group.
hugs, wayney
