Something encouraging today | Arthritis Information

With as hard as my day has been, I did have something really cool happen today. As I have mentioned, I am in physical therapy for my shoulder and it is not going well at all. I'm back to right where I was when I first started, actually I've lost ground.

My physical therapist, Jim, was massaging my shoulder and neck which he knows I hate because it makes the tears stream down my face from how painful it is. He sits there and tells me the nicest thing. He said, "you're one of those people who see the glass half full. You go through all this and you are still smiling and laughing."

He really made me feel human again right in the middle of all that pain. That's the kind of care that gets you to the next step. I'm really grateful for his kindness today.

He sounds like a wonderful physical therapist. He is probably use to people being big babies. You on the other hand I'm sure he relizes how painful it is and is grateful that you try hard and stay positive.

Thats a hard thing to do when your in alot of pain.

It's small moments like that, that can really brighten someone's day

I tell people, if i didn't, i wouldn't be happy.  Plain and simple.  You have to live.

your right Roxy-

MEAN PEOPLE DO SUCK!

Maybe from now on anyone here who goes to a mean RD, or PT, or encounters a rude lab tech or radiology tech that insists on bending their legs like a pretzel should firmly tell them "Mean people suck and kind people make all the difference in the world!" It could be our new mantra.
