Not being able to work anymore and giving up so much of the things I used to do was causing me to have major depression. Then one day a friend of mine ask me to play Texas Holde'm. I loved it from the first card I was dealt. I formed a group of players and we play once a week. It doesn't matter that my hands are crippled and I can't shuffel, others do that for me.
The bottom line is now I am with people again and I found that smile I thought I had lost forever and we laugh and laugh and then laugh some more.
Just wanted to share something positive.

I love to play Hold Em. It is so much fun. I dont have anyone to play cards with...I am thinking about teaching my kids to play Phase 10 and Uno. It would be good to start playing some games together. I don't know how to play texas holdem but i've watched a little bit on the tv. That is awesome to hear. Texas hold em is so fun too! They have groups on yahoo you can play others via computer as well if you don't have people to play with in person.
