Well, I am tapering my night dose of prednisone in half. She
increased my MTX and was very happy with my progress and that I have
had no bad reaction to the MTX.
My skin rash or bug bites she feels were not a reaction to medication because they did not persist or worsen.
So looks like I am sort of still where I was, but I dropped the night
pred and have felt totally normal. So far, so good.
:) I am now officially down to 12.5 instead of 15mg.
Hey that's great, sounds like it was a good app't.Hey AZ, I'm glad your bumps weren't related to the MTX. It's nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I hope cutting the prednisone works for you. You're always one step ahead of me.
That's great news! You know I asked her if she thought I could feel the effects at 4
weeks, and she said it can take as long as 8-12 weeks and that it
wouldn't concern her if I felt no relief yet from the MTX.
But the thing is, I feel pretty good on my lower pred dose. It is
only 2.5 lower, but I didn't feel miserable the way I expected. I
know I will feel more problems when I go really low eventually. I
look forward to no pred. I can see my face being round.
The good news is, I only gained one pound 5 weeks later on high dose pred. I am so worried about blowing up.
AZ, You are doing great
