Does anyone ever get a "burning sensation" in joints as part of RA joint paint and discomfort?  I most notice it in my big toe joints and thumb joint...

Still in the trying to diagnose stage... THANKS!

Hi Milo,

Yes I often get a burning sensation in my feet, hands, wrists and arms.

hi - me too.   in my toes and my pinky fingers...lol
weird feeling..........
i wonder what makes it do that???

that, and the twitching............drive me crazy!!!!

woobie Me too!My ankles do this the worse and it drives me crazy.  Hugs and good vibes.I get it in my toes but it is usually with the bad pain. When I get it is pretty intense. When I described it to my RD he acted like he had never heard that before and he seems pretty receptive to what I have to say...but that was one thing that I thought he kind of dismissed...I thought I was just weird. I guess, as usual, we are all weird!

that's why i like this forum - we can all ask about the little things, and not feel so stupid for having them.... when your doctor looks at you with the deer-in-headlights look.

Now I can say "hey - i'm not the only one........"

woobie

It is the reason I am awake here so late at night.

I haven't noticed much burning, but I have lots of twitching!  Where is your twitching woobie?  Mine is all over at all different times.  Feel like I'm jumping out of my skin sometimes..lol.

Everything twitches.  Even my butt cheeks..which is kinda funny when I'm at work and i turn around all the sudden cuz I think someone's poking my booty. (no one ever is - dang it

mostly it's in my calfs and arms - my fingers move on their own sometimes, especially my thumbs.

very annoying.... when my calves twitch..sometimes it actually gets to feeling like i'm going to get a charlie horse.. kinda hurts sometimes when it's really strong.

lots of charlie horses in my legs too.  but the burning, is always in  my toes, ankles, wrists and fingers.

Recently, since my last bad flare, I get this burning sensation in my knees when I turn around during the night. It is right under my knee cap. It wakes me up. It happened on my right knee last week, and last night it was my left knee that did it. I wonder what that is? I also have the same sensation in my ankles. I had that happen with my left ankle too last night. I was just turning to my left and side in my sleep.

I thought, now how could that happen??
