I am off of prednisone completely! I took my last dose Saturday. I feel
great and haven't had a flare (keep those fingers crossed!).
Just wanted to share and give everyone who is trying to get off of it hope.

Congrats on getting off prednisone :) But it scares me that your so
excited because I just started taking 10mg last week. Is it that bad? :(

BarbNo prednisone isn't bad. It saved my llife. I was so disabled when I
first was diag. that I couldn't tie my shoes or open doors. My husband
had to help dress me. And i am all of 38. I have been on pred since the
fall of 2003 and have gained amybe 20 pounds. I have had terrible mood
swings as well. I am just happy that I no longer need to take it as the
MTX and Enbrel are doing the job just fine.
Please if you need to take do so. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
