Just wanted to share something that really hit home
last week. My dad, who is 74 and in great shape/
good health, had to have surgery for a burst
appendix. This is the first time he has ever been in
the hospital; he's been there 8 days so far, and will
hopefully get out on Saturday or Sunday.
Anyway the surgeon told him that the only reason
that he was still with us is because he was in such
great health.
He has gout, and of course has had various other
health problems throughout his life, but he has
always been very disciplined and tried to eat right
and exercise some way, every day. He always tells
us 'you have to get & stay healthy'; so now we are
really listening!
Going to try to do what I can...eating better,
stretching, and walking whenever I can. So just
wanted to share this 'life lesson' with you guys.
