Saw my RA doc today and the bad news is I do have RA. The good news is that it was caught in a early stage. This explains why I'm responding so well to the mtx. My blood work was in the normal range.
This time around he was so nice and told me that he didn't mean to make me feel like I didn't have RA. He answer all of my questions. I feel so much better now.
Last Sunday, roomie and I went out for a late lunch/ early dinner at this asian place. It was a beautiful day out and we decided to sit out on the patio. It was a nice change from eating by myself. I was seated near the walkway to go inside. One minute I'm sitting in my chair and the next, I have this person falling into my lap. It was a large size lady with this big purse, big earrings and long nails. She had slipped on the tiles and to keep from falling, grab the nearest thing to hang on to.
Her purse hit me in the face, her nails found my neck, and she was half sitting on me as she was trying not to fall. She was okay, but I wasn't. I thought that my jaw was broken as well my glasses. All I knew was that it hurt. They got me a ice pack and after 20 mins, I could finally leave. Later on that night, I started to hurt and the next morning I couldn't move my neck, back, arm, etc., without pain.
Told my roomie, that the next time, we sit inside!

I always wanted to be a soft place to land for my family, but I never thought of doing it as a public service!

That is quite a story Marissa. Are you feeling better today? It is amazing how easily we get beat up with ra. Congrats on responding well to mtx and getting a doctor to listen to you.
Hillhoney - your icon depresses me - I really look like that sometimes. Roxy, don't be depressed. I picked him because he walks just like me! It makes me tired just watching him tho' cause I feel every step he takes! Hillhoney, I love your avatar. I start to laugh when I watch him walk.
I'm feeling soooo much better. It's nice to be able to get up with only my usual aches.
It's going to be another nice day after the gloom wears off. I'm going to go shopping!!!!
MarisaHillhoney, when I went to the hospital today for blood tests, someone offered me one of those little carts to drive. I was shocked! That means I look the way I feel - a lot like your avatar.
Marisa I hope you've recovered from your stint as trampoline. What are the odds? With a diagnosis, you can get treatment, and that's a very good thing.
Did the woman apologize? She could have picked up the tab for you or something!!!
