I am new here and I need some help. I was recently diagnosed with PA when
I got P of the hands and feet. My ribs are hurting and a bone scan revealed
hot spots all over them. I am prently on MTX and Humira, but I just started
those. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Thanks for
your help. I have taken 7 weeks of MTX and 5 shots of Humira (I take 1 shot each
week).
The pain is still here, and the PA is progressing rapidly, my Rhemy is
sending me to Duke at the end of this month. I sure hope I can get some
relief. the MTX makes me sick, so I am down to 109lbs from 122lbs six
weeks ago. I just want to wake up one day and feel good.

I have had PA for over 20 years. It started in my feet. I could barely walk. The they diagnoised me with RA as well. For the most part I can't tell when one disease starts and the other ends.
The good news is that the embrel treatments got rid of all my psorasis.
My husband went to Duke and they did him a lot of good. I hope you have good luck there and get some relief.

Give the humira & mtx a chance to work. When I started on meds they also included a dose pack of prednisone which worked until the other meds had a chance to kick in. Right now I have the arthritis in the back and jaw the worst at the moment. Will see second jaw specialist this month. Anybody else have problems these areas?Went to Duke and had my first Remicade infusion on Tuesday. It went well II hope it works for you. I find it interesting that what works for one may not necessarily work for another. My Humira injections are going well. Maybe I responded quickly to this drug because I was on Enbrel for a number of years prior. My RA also put me on another drug to help when I was in pain (The Name slips my mind at this time). But I stopped that and am solely on Humira with Advil occasionally.
