Hi I am a 49 y/o female. For the past 6 weeks I have been freezing.I can't really describe how I feel in words but it feels like the joints in my hands and feet are freezing-tingly and I can't get warm.I have been eating ice uncontrollably and I am just achy and exhausted.I presented at the dr yesterday with these symptoms and today she called to tell me my results: I am anemic.I had gastic bypass 3 years ago so anemia and B12 deficiency is not uncommon. My b12 is fine even though i havent been taking it.A blood count of over 11 is ok, mine is 5.The dr (internal medicine) was concerned about anemia, but more concerned about 2 other red flags-she said that my inflammation level is elevated and so is my rheumatoid level. She is sending me to a rheumatologist.I have read alot on the internet and lupus or Raynaud's disease sound alot like my symptoms. What do you all think and what should I be looking for and expect? Thanks for any help.
Ellen
