I've been on humira for 6 months and my husband has been giving me my shots cause I'm somewhat of a fraidy cat. Well last night I got brave....I DID IT BY MYSELF!!! I'm so proud.
Just wanted to thank you guys. If it wasn't for the encouragement I've gotten here from all you brave folks I don't think I could have done it.

Me, I had a head start on the needle fear thing, as I've been giving myself daily injections for my multiple sclerosis for over three years. But I still remember the fear before the first shot. I must say the Kineret hurts a bit more going in, but after 11 days' worth of injections, so far so good. Absolutely no injection site reaction, which is supposed to be awful with Kineret. Yay for me! (I can't take the other three biologics, as they all exacerbate MS.) I can't wait for the month or two it'll take to find out if it's working, so I can try to get off the prednisone and possibly even the MTX! You may call me "pin cushion gal" now, though. Two a day, for crying out loud..

I just hope when I have to start doing injections that I will have as much nerve as you. I will probably have to ween off from hubby giving them to me like you did. Hubby will take so much pleasure in giving me my shots, if and when I have to start them, it will help him to get back at me for my grouchiness...lol. He already said that is what he would do it for. Because he knows how afraid of needles I am. And that would be his revenge...mean isn't he?
