Going back to work | Arthritis Information

It's the 22th of May and I supposed to have gone back to work. However that has been delayed. Had to get my Doctor to change my "return to work" slip. I'm going back to full duty w/o limitations. Have all ready talked to my boss and hopefully, if all of the paperwork is in order, than I'll start on Wed. I'll be back on my evening shift.
The work that I do involves heavy lifting and you have to able to stand blood and gore. I do all of the instruments for the operating room and at one time I was the lead person for the evening shift. You have to be able to lift 50 lbs., as the total joint trays are heavy.
I will keep you posted on how I do.

   Marisa

Best of luck with your return to work. Hope all goes well!

Good luck Marisa!

marisa Good Luck going back to work.

Kel Nice CatMarisa - I hope you can allow yourself some free time for a hot bath/shower and some quiet time at the end of the day. Good luck. We're all rooting for you! Thanks PatGood luck. Can you get help with those 50 lb trays?    Thanks everybody.

   Kelly, I love your cat.

Lindak, Most of the time you get no help as there's only 2 of us. One cleans and is locked in this room, while the other sets up the instrument trays and sterilize them for the next case. For a total joint there can be 12 to 24 trays. If they do back to back cases, then you will be busy for a hour. It's not a easy job, but I love it.

MarisaMarisa, good luck to you!!   Good luck Marisa, I know how hard that kind of work is. It hurts, but it feels good too.  I always feel proud when I drag myself out to my car at the end of my shift.Hope you have a great pain free first day back.
