The effect of Humira on psoriasis | Arthritis Information
I have severe psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, I'm on my second month of humira and my doctor keeps asking me if i've seen any improvement in my skin. I've noticed very slight improvement, but hopefully as I go on it will get better. In regards to my joints I'm still in a lot of pain, my doctor says it takes time, but I'm really depressed. I'm 27 and I've had psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis since I was 20, and it has definately changed me and has left an impact. Psoriasis and the arthritis that has come with it has changed the way I live my entire life. If any fellow psoriasis sufferers have an experience with their skin clearing up from using humira please feel free to drop me a line. I'm used to living with pain, but I'd really like to have a boyfriend, and aesthetically i'm not really on the right track, haha. Thanks to everyone who reads this, I appreciate your time! Don't sweat it yet! Im a 34 yr old male with PA and have been on a Humira study for PA for the last 3 years.
I started on 1 injection every two weeks and then was switched to an
injection each week. That was the difference! 3 weeks after the
escalation I my skin was perfect. (I wasn't that bad to start, mostly
knuckles, elbows, hairline).
The pain, night sweats, sleepiness isn't better but the Humira did stop
how fast I was getting worse. It seems I have Severe Acute Onset PA,
which means that it hits you like a bat all at once and gets worse over
time much faster then most with PA. I could see myself going down hill
fast, the Humira stopped quick progress of the disease.
As far as finding a man goes.....
I was a psoriatic free male model/ actor living in LA and met a killer
actress who had a psoriasis lump every 6 inches in every direction.
Didn't seem to stop me from loving here or treating her "like she
acted". She acted like it was nothing but a bother, so I did to. I also
wasn't the only guy to have chased after her either, I was just the
lucky bastard who won!
At your age (most) guys are still pigs, my advice is to start dating
older mature guys who would rather have a friend and lover then a seat
cover!
