Flare up | Arthritis Information

Last Wed. evening I ate some "healthy" whipped cream. You know, fruit juice sweetened, etc. Well, it also happened to have cashew butter in it. I immediately went in to anaphylactic shock. My husband took me to the ER, they stabilized me and sent me to ICU for the next 24 hours, from there I was moved to a regular floor and then finally released. Friday afternoon they also did an endoscopy, looking for swelling in the esophogus and took a biopsy.

Anyway, as if my body's not fighting hard enough to get back on track, I guess the whole episode triggered a terrible flare up. AHHHHH! I'm so frustrated, I feel like CRAP!

I'm overwhelmed. It just seems like there is always something. As if having RA isn't bad enough on it's own.

I just need to vent. Thanks.

I'll keep you in my prayers Sweetie. It sounds horrible.

Hope you're feeling better soon!!

So sorry to hear of this.

I have problems with any kind of nut (except peanuts for some reason) but they all cause flair ups BIG also.

I wish you well.

There is supposed to be a law now in 2006 that stuff you buy at the store should have information in bold stating milk, nuts etc. all allergens in the item or even if an item is made on something that makes something with nuts etc.  At least with the stuff we buy, we will be able to see what's in it today in the United States.

That sounds horrible...I am glad you are okay, sorry about the flare up.  Every little thing seems to trigger them.
