(Roxy your gonna love this!)

So I just want everyone to know what a very cool thing our friend Descartes did. He wrote a very persuasive letter to the company that he purchased his US unit from and somehow convinced them to send me one for free. It just arrived the other day and I am just getting the chance to sit down and learn about US therapy and how it works. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome, I am very excited to see how this little gadget will work.

I dont know the monetary value of this, but it is very nice and I am very honored to have received one as a gift. So I just want to give three cheers for Descartes for the thought, the effort, and the kindness!

How does it work and what does it do?

I told you - Descartes is a Sweetheart but I didn't know he was that sweet.  Group hug for Descartes.

Definately a nice things to do. Way to go Descartes!

Here is a link to the company that sent me the Ultra Sound unit.

Gee, thanks for the information Crunchy. I will be checking into that. I feel that my husband could benefit from it also.

Trisha

They used Ultrasound on my shoulder with physical therapy. It gets into the deep tissue.

Gee Crunchy, thanks for the kind words!  I'm blushing!

Hey it was a nice thing that you did! You deserve the alcolades!

I have used the US unit on my wrist and my calf. I wanted to test it out on a joint and a sore muscle. I could not tolerate it for too long on my wrist, but that may have been the way I was doing it. I did get some relief though from it. It also worked for my sore calf muscle too.

I have not been using it regularly yet-I have been busy- but I have a few days off and will be at home so I will have more time to play with it and get some kind of routine down. I really think this thing could be beneficial.

I will keep yall posted on how it is working.

Hi Crunchy!  How'd that thing work out for you anyway?

I haven't been on the forum much lately.  I have to say that as I have less pain, I get busy doing other things.  Its good for off-line relationships but it doesn't help my on-line relationships any.

I hope you're keeping well

I am glad to hear from you, how often do you use the US unit?

When I first got it, I used it a lot - 3 times per day.  I was pretty laid up with the pain then.  The pain gradually reduced and I got to be more active.  After a week I still had some pain, but it was very tolerable and I found I was really only getting around to giving myself treatments about once per day.  By the end of 2 or 3 weeks, I was completely pain free most of the time and I started just using it once or twice per week when I would get flare-ups.  That would usually be good enough for me to go pain free for a bunch more days.

I'm much more reactionary than preventative.  Now I don't use it until the pain comes back.  I'm about 7-10 days between treatments now.  Sometimes, if I think the pain is going to come back, I just rub some of the gel into my knees without the US and that seems to help.  When it does flare up good though I always use the US too and the results are very good.  I think it's a matter of not getting behind the eight-ball again.  I haven't had debilitating pain in almost 2 months now.  I also don't go more than a day and a half with pain during the worst flare-ups so long as I use the unit.

I should be the poster-child for this thing.  From time to time I recommend people use it in different discussions, but I try to contain myself.  Other than you, I still don't know anyone else who has one so maybe my experience is unique.  I hope not though.  If I ever find more people who've used Sonic Relief have had similar experiences I'll be pulling out the bull horn.  If I can help people rid themselves of pain like I had, I'll do what I can to help them.

Descartes24138888.3385300926Crunchy,  Tell us.  Has it helped ?????????

Hi Crunchy,

We never heard back from you on how it worked.  I haven't been back here in ages but I was surfing to buy some gel the other day and noticed that the SR people have an arthritis site now. http://www.aidmyarthritis.com/sonic_relief/index.php

So, I decided I'd come back and check out my old stomping ground.  I see that a lot of our old friends are still here. Hi Roxy, Hi Deanna!

How's your new forum going Crunch?  I have to confess I haven't been there yet, but maybe I'll go check it out now!

I've been off the surfing for quite a while - family responsibilities... you know...
