thyroid problems and Arthritis? | Arthritis Information

 

I never had any problems with Artiritis until my thyroid went out-  went to the doctor a few years ago and his diagnosis was graves disease-   gave me the theropy to kill my thyroid and afterwards everything was down hill-  is there a connection between the two?   too much radioactive iodine did the trick

wilky38876.3529166667Remember, hypo or hyper thyroidism is an autoimmune disorder or disease, if you get one type you are more likely to get another type of autoimmune disorder.  Another thing alot of people don't realise is if your thryoid problem is not under control it can cause more pain to your joints etc just like a flare up.  meme
