Good day good news | Arthritis Information

We are having a good time today because of our good news. You have to notice them when they come along and shout from the roof tops so that when times aren't good you have a memory to get you thru. You guys taught us that!

We saw all our Docs yesterday and got good results Our daughter is weaning off Pred( she's at 9mg)decreasing at 1 mg a month. Hey at least we are going in the right direction. She will be on Plaquenil and Azithioprine for a long long time but we can live with their side effects. Her moon face is still there but she has grown a thicker skin to all the teasing. Her lateset blood work shows ( I'm afraid to say this out loud) she is in medicated remission for her auto immune disesases( Evans/Alps and Lupus). So for now we are on cloud nine. She started gym at school again because her spleen is back down to normal size and she has energy. We have to watch for viruses as she can be immune fragile but she carry's prell with her and has become a watch dog for classmates sniffles.

My husband did get demoted due to so much missed time with her illness but like its said God doesn't close one door with out opening another-- he actually likes being inside sales instead of all the travelling. He is home every night by 5pm. He has travelled for 30 years/ 52 weeks a year and now I see him every day, Its wonderful. Wait maybe not wonderful-- he tends to get underfoot sometimes- I'm use to being the disciplinarian with our boys and Amy so we have to work on that but hey he can take out the garbage now, pick up the groceries and go to the school meetings! i feel like I have won the Lotto. His salary was cut to 1/3 of what he was earning so maybe I should buy a Lotto ticket today. Anyways thanks for letting me vent and say Thank you for our moment of sunshine!!

This is wonderful Jan!
