You probably all have seen those cancer center commercials where they combine traditional and holistic medicine to treat cancer. I wish there was a RA center like that where they could teach you the best things to do with the medicines, the exercises, the diet and natural medicines.

Having a RA center like that would be just great. That could be a wonderful learning place to know more about this disease and ways to help make everyday life easier. Thank heaven for this forum. I knew nothing about this RA. I wish I could find a similar board to go to for post polio syndrome. After 3 back surgeries my husband can hardly walk & since he had polio as a young teen, I thought maybe that might have something to do with his problem.

What an awful lot the two of you have to deal with. I've had a couple of friends with polio, one as a childhood friend and one recently that I worked with. The second one was from China and she definitely had problems from the polio. I don't know how she walked. But she was always smiling and energetic. Wish I could be more like that.
Weird! I swear Deanna sometimes I think you and I are on the same wave-length! I have thought the very same thing after watching those commercials for The Cancer Center of America. It would help alot, I even asked my doctor about that. But he said there isnt anything that he knows of. Too bad we dont have money stashed away to start a business. That would be a terrific investment. Kind of like a combination RD office with PT/OT, dieticians, massage therapists, day spa, financial advisors.....I think the closest that you can get is the resorces provided by the Arthritis Foundation local chapters.
It would be nice though.....
